The texturing on this beautiful creature is simply divine. It looks like (as a previous commenter said) like a stone carving of some sort, but it works. When I soft focus my eyes, it totally creates the illusion of horse like skin/fur.
Interesting shading technique; certain areas seem sharp/crisp and very defined, while others are soft. I like it though. It tricks my head into looking at the image more thoroughly
And do I detect a soft white glow around the edges? hehe. This being certainly seems angelic!
I am simply adoring your realism. Your cel/gradient style is love, but this seems to speak a lot more!
