This looked so much better on my comp >_<

Contest entry for *whirl-wind of her character Thatch. I noooooooooooooooo I went slightly ott with everything but it just sort of came out @_@
Also he is not gradient shaded because I couldn't get the result I was after :shakefish: so I attempted realism instead, its so much quicker too! :sprint:

Erm, so this is Thatch after he ran away from home and he is well on his way to discovering his electric tendancies.
All his markings are there its just I ended up covering them with a little too much shading.

If people who have requested/traded/commissioned me would prefer there part in a more realistic style please say, I really don't mind :D

Breath-taking. So beautiful! The jump is so graceful, yet bursting with energy.The bg is sooooo amazing, and really brings out some of the emotion. Thatch looks so handsome, and daring!

WOW! This is both beautiful and powerful...the style really gives it just the right amount of kick. It reminds me of some of the books I used to read as a kid.

I would absolutely LOVE to see you draw in this style more.

:D Thanks! I tried to make it as powerful as possible but I think my messy brush work screwed that one up, :giggle: Haha I doubt it, I have seen some gorgeous entrys so I truly do doubt it :(

Thank you ^_^ I really like making pieces colour themed and I thought by making it green I could bring out the colour in his mane and tail. I hattteee (with a passion) sea scenes, drawing waves is impossibly hard I had to do mine about three times until I was semi satisfied with the results >_<

Thanks ^_^ Gradient Shading just really didn't work for this one because its not very good at strong contrast so I had to go for something more realistic and I actually enjoyed it so much, I think I might do my next piece like that as well ^_^ Haha yeah, I think I know what you mean!
